Keynote Speaker - Zac Crouse - Dare to Fail: Developing Leadership Skills and Resiliency

We are excited to welcome Zac Crouse, musician, recreational therapist, teacher and advocate, who has helped reduce the stigma associated with mental illness. Through live music, story telling and film, Zac will share techniques to help organizations develop leadership skills and increase resiliency through social, communication and problem solving exercises. You won’t want to miss this lively session!

Global Perspectives on Affordable Housing Delivery

What would make Canada more resilient to the global market economy – and how might we better leverage impact across financial, policy and business development strategies to increase housing affordability? CHRA’s Innovation Forum 2017 seeks to address these question and more by sharing global perspectives from housing providers, practitioners and policy makers from the UK, the United States, Australia and Canada during this full day event.

This session will discuss how to manage one’s online presence in a way that balances personal and professional development – and how to use social and business networking sites to leverage your personal ‘brand’, and enhance your profile in a way that goes beyond what a traditional CV can do.


Filmed over a decade, Us and Them is a deeply visceral film about transformation through human connection. Join filmmaker Krista Loughton for this special screening and Q&A on a film that follow four chronically homeless individuals, and reveals their unique challenges, along with mentors, advocates and others who seek to offer guidance and support.
