Dear CHRA members and friends,
I am pleased to announce that Tim Ross will assume the role of Interim Executive Director of the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association effective November 5.
Tim took leave from his permanent position as Executive Director of the New Brunswick Non Profit Housing Association (NBNPHA) to lead CHRA staff and members for the next three months.
As this is a critical time in the housing sector, CHRA is grateful to have someone of Tim’s caliber take on this important role while we continue our search for a permanent ED.
During the next few months, Tim will make sure that our organization builds on its Housing for All campaign success by engaging immediately with the new Liberal government and seizing opportunities for CHRA to contribute to the development of a National Housing Strategy. He will also provide tested leadership in the planning of the National Housing and Homelessness Congress taking place in Montréal next spring.
Tim has served on the CHRA Board for the past two years as its New Brunswick Regional Director and Secretary. He has stepped down temporarily from this role in order to serve CHRA in a staff capacity.
He first became involved with CHRA as an “Emerging Professional” in 2010 and subsequently served on the Community Advisory Board’s Learning Network steering committee for two years.
