Non-Market Housing Development: Aligning Resources, Creating Partnerships, and Maximizing Social Outcomes

The City of Calgary has partnered with CMHC to implement the Non-Market Housing Land Disposition program. In this webinar, we talked about how non-profit developers benefited from a quicker Co-investment funding process, below market land, grants for pre-development and city fee rebates. As well, HomeSpace spoke to leveraging partnerships with all levels of government and the private sector to build non-market housing with economies of scale. Choices for Youth of St. John’s then demonstrated how they maximized social outcomes through the development process of a project that leverages private social financing and social enterprise.
