Jeff Neven is the CEO of the Indwell family of companies, a group of mission-driven nonprofits and charities advancing supportive and affordable housing across Ontario. Jeff is experienced in working at the intersection of health care and housing and serving high-needs people and has focused on strengthening equitable access to housing and supports, building cross-sector partnerships, and advancing practical, scalable housing solutions.
Jeff is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Communities, Planning, Policy, and Organizations. He also holds certificates in Non-Profit Governance from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and Community Shift from Ivey Business School at Western University. Jeff is a member of CMHC’s Expert Community on Housing and is a frequent contributor to national media and professional discussions on housing and homelessness.
Living in central Hamilton, Ontario, Jeff is active in his community and has served on the boards of several charitable organizations. He also helped found three nonprofit bike shops, including one in Pikangikum First Nation. Jeff is a strong advocate for systems-level change and collaborative national leadership to address Canada’s housing crisis, bringing experience in governance, strategic planning, government relations, and financial oversight that will support CHRA’s mission.
