During the Annual General Meeting on May 10, it was announced that Tim Crooks, CEO of Phoenix Youth in Halifax, Nova Scotia, will take on the role as the new CHRA Board President. Tim’s term as President will take place over two years.

As well, the CHRA membership also expressed its gratitude to Kevin Albers, CEO of M’akola Housing in Victoria, British Columbia for his service to the community housing sector over the past two years as Board President. Although Kevin’s term was challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, it also marked a period of continued expansion for the community housing sector. Among the noteworthy accomplishments, Kevin’s term marked the announcement of a Rapid Housing Initiative, a strengthened Indigenous Caucus, and CHRA taking on the Chartered Institute of Housing. Thank you, Kevin for your efforts! Kevin will serve one more year as Past President.

Joining Tim Crooks and Kevin Albers on the CHRA Executive Team are: BC Regional Director Margaret Pfoh as Vice President, Director at Large Olga Tasci as Treasurer and Ontario Regional Director Ray Sullivan as Secretary. Congratulations to CHRA’s new Executive Committee!
