On June 28, the federal government announced a public consultation on a National Housing Strategy. Since that time, CHRA has worked with its members, its Aboriginal Caucus, and other national housing stakeholders to produce a vision and response to guide the development of that Strategy. On October 11, CHRA submitted its response to the federal government. Entitled “Housing At A Crossroads: CHRA’s Vision for the Next Generation of Housing Policy in Canada”, this report contains 24 specific recommendations to improve national housing policy in Canada. You will find on this webpage a copy of that response, as well as relevant Executive Summaries of the response’s recommendations.
