On November 22, the Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development, Jean-Yves Duclos, will participate in a facebook live presentation at 11am EST to unveil the federal government’s “What We Heard” report summarizing the findings of the National Housing Strategy consultation process launched in June 2016.  Although the “What We Heard” report is not expected to unveil the National Housing Strategy policy framework, it is expected that the report will play a key role in influencing the shape of the overall Strategy.

As the voice of the affordable and social housing sector in Canada, the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA) will be prepared to offer comment on the report and its expected impact on the overall National Housing Strategy framework. CHRA will issue a news release following the unveiling of the report. In addition, CHRA Executive Director Jeff Morrison will be available to offer comment on the report. If you wish to speak with Jeff Morrison, please contact him by cell phone at 613-291-9377, or email at jmorrison@chra-achru.ca.
