With degrees in fine art and communications and an MBA in management consultancy, Louis-Philippe Myre began his career in audiovisual production. In 2005, when his photography studio was threatened by property speculation, he got involved in defending the artists’ studios at the Usine Grover and moved his family into a housing cooperative. In 2006, he joined an association of housing co-operatives comprising 15,000 units, where he held various management roles in member services. During this period, he also taught creative problem-solving in the social and public communications department at UQAM. In 2018, he joined Interloge as director of property development. In 2021, he took on the position of Executive Director. He is also president of ACHAT, a group of non-profit housing developers and operators. Louis-Philippe has nearly 20 years’ experience in collective property. He has mastered the realities of both apartment building operation and property development, both in the co-operative sector and with housing NPOs.
