At a press conference held today on Parliament Hill, CHRA and a coalition of community housing and homelessness organizations announced they have sent a joint letter to the leaders of the major political parties outlining several election platform recommendations in advance of the 2019 federal election. The coalition members include CHRA, the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada, the CHRA Indigenous Caucus, and the Réseau québécois des OSBL d’habitation. The recommendations closely mirror those ideas released by CHRA as part of the “A Home for Everyone” pre-election campaign.  

During the press conference, it was also announced that a survey would be issued to all election candidates to gauge their views on the recommendations being presented.
