HPMP 2019

The Housing Professionals Mentorship Program connects experienced housing professionals with those who are ready to take the next step in their professional journey, or graduate students whose research is focused on housing or homelessness in Canada. The 2019 program will run from January to June and accept 45 mentor/mentee matches.

  • Ignite passion and interest in housing;
  • Further develop careers in housing;
  •  Develop leadership competencies; and, 
  • Enhance knowledge around core housing themes:
    • Housing Policy
    • Asset Management & Development
    • Operations
    • Delivering Services
    • Business (Finance, Strategy, Organizational Development)

eligibility

To participate in the Housing Professionals Mentorship Program, you (or your organization) must be a member of Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA), CIH Canada, or Housing Partnership Canada (HPC) in good standing.  Potential mentees must currently be employed in the housing/homelessness sector or in a graduate program doing research on housing or homelessness.  Mentors may be employed or recently retired from the sector.

Your organization must fully support your participation and time commitment (minimum 25 hours) to the program.

Eligibility for mentees will not be limited to age, though preference will be given to housing professionals early in their careers, or housing professionals looking to take the next step in their professional journey, to promote learning, development and growth in the sector.

Applications are now closed for HPMP 2019 - if you missed the deadline but would still like to apply there may still be time, reach out to Dominika at dkrzeminska@chra-achru.ca. Mentor and Mentee matching will be done based on information provided through the applications. Successful applicants will be contacted in late November.
